some poetry

Swiftly sailing the open sea,
He knew not what he sought
Or from what was his flee

All that was once familiar
Was now as definite as the rain
Falling into the endless deep

The rhythm of the beating waves
Induced a hypnotizing slumber
Leaving days and weeks a blur

His dreams were of lands where
Flowers sang melodious tunes and
Hearts beat louder with every new day

He awoke lying on a naked shore
Knowing not what he sought
Yet seeking it all the more
