white post revolution 5

The downtime of the last few weeks has allowed my mind to run rampant. It’s a beautiful thing. But at the same time it is overwhelming when you begin to consider all the downfalls within your own life and the downfalls within society, when you actually take a moment to sit back and subjectively look at what’s going on, when you stop letting the world entertain the crap out of you, and think about the issues that really matter. Issues like millions of people starving while our “Christian” American nation spends billions of dollars a year on dieting. There’s something wrong with that. (See Matthew 19:23).

(I must remember that words alone have no merit)

what a summer 2

The countdown is at 14 days. Unfortunately, the count of items on my to do list isn’t decreasing at the same rate. However, deadlines are our friends. They make sure you actually get stuff done.

Speaking of friends, I’m excited about seeing everybody next week at OBU. Really excited.

Goodnight.

P.S. The majority can be a devious enemy.

P.S.S. I posted some pictures from my adventures in West Texas.

Sympathy for Jesus 2

“You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, ‘Do not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.’ But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, ‘Raca,’ is answerable to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell.”

Too many times have I read Jesus’ words flippantly, overlooking their radical nature and their demands of the same nature.

I have a well-founded speculation that stoplights are plotting against me. Yes, stoplights.

Reading a word opened by a voiced (in American English) “h”, preceded by the article “an” brings me great pleasure. I usually opt to read it an additional time, audibly.

Regina Spektor has been a recent source of aural bliss. Object-oriented programming has been a recent topic of conceptual cultivation.

The song referenced in the title of this post is beautifully crafted.

I think the format of this post is indicative of the anatomy of my thoughts.

(I wish my case was isolated [like this assertion])
